The Cosmic Harp is a collaborative project with Louise Lessel.

The Armillaries are a series of interactive light sculptures tracking live satellite orbits and realtime space debris passing by above. The amount of debris affects the installation and the sound emanating from each Armillary, creating a beautiful and at times cacophonous data soundscape.

The Cosmic Harp is a join project with Louise Lessel. It is an instrument that allows the user to play abstractions of satellite data. The harp is designed with inspiration the Armillary sphere used in astrology in the 16th century.

The Cosmic Harp is a join project with Louise Lessel.

It is a Data sonification of satellites debris using laser string, which is only observable when interrupted by smoke or hands. The sound is updated every 15 seconds with changes, based on a satellite position dataset from space-track.org.

This project is an experiment to explore different possibility to interact with the VR environments other than the classic controller, Having a direct reference to the environment adding a dimension to the experience.

clapper is a cymbal robot that i made to be trigger remotely. It could be control by another device, or controlled by data.

This is a project collaborate with casey conchinha. We want to show air quality with ambient light of a room, so we made our light matrix panel into the size of a ceiling tile so it could be installed easily. Using touch designer, different value of air quality data are mapped to different colors. The exact air quality is not very readable with the light, we are more interested in capture the process of movement and change of air quality.

Conversation is a duet between two hanging lamps that provide light only when bitten. The light comes from within the body of these lamps, illuminating the room from within the participants’ mouths. Ideally experienced in pairs, Conversation is a practice in listening and illumination. To not converse in total darkness, the pair must cycle between the roles of speaker and illuminator.

This Diorama is created from a scene of “Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind” directed by Hayao Miyazaki. The diorama was created during an “The art of Diorama” workshop hosted by museum exhibition specialist Tom Doncourt at American Museum of Natural History.

Classic mouse click game, player start by clicking mouse on the canvas. To play the game, player “hit” the ball from the position where the mouse is clicked to bounce the ball upward. the objective of the game is to collect as many points and avoid hitting the black ball. Since quarantine, we spend most of our time at home. Because of that, we no longer can play ping pong on the ITP floor with others. That’s why i was inspired to make this, to play ping pong with yourself. Try it yourself here .

Inspired by the famous cellular automata: game of life, I created my own cellular automata of a ecosystem that include herbivore, carnivore, and vegetation. The play enter the scene in kind of strategy game set up with a goal to keep the eco system balanced; however, some point of time, human started invade the ecosystem and drained out all the resources, and everything died.
